A Childs Right To Believe

As a kid I loved holidays, I love the different store decorations and stories that filled my heart with hope and joy. I was a dreamer. I dreamed of a better world where fairies and houses made of ginger bread were real. Those dreams helped me make it through the tough times because every fairy tale started off like a nightmare but always ended with ‘happily ever after’. As I got older I learned that life wasn’t a fairy tale but I was blessed to have those fairy tales to help me grow past the nightmares that was my reality.

I say all this because too often parents now take away a child’s moment of believing. We are so quick to “keep it real” with our kids that we don’t remember the enjoyment of dreams. How dare we as adults take away a child’s right to believe in anything? Having an imagination is what makes those of us who do make it great. I don’t care if it’s a fat white guy in a red suit, a bunny hopping around giving eggs or a fairy replacing fallen teeth with money, it’s a dream. It’s a dream that gives them imagination to run with. Some of the best stories come from a dream. So before you are so quick to take away a dream remember what the dream meant for you. Don’t ruin a child’s chance to make it; instead encourage them.

10 Ways to Satisfy Your Man!

***Disclaimer! I am in no way saying that doing these things will guarantee your man to stay faithful or keep him from leaving, BUT it will make him think about it before he does.***

#10 – Be honest!
Not just with him, but with yourself. Listen if and when he tells you that you all are just sexual partners and he doesn’t want a relationship. Don’t try to read between the lines or force him to change his mind. Most guys are cut dry and will tell you up front what it is. Listen! If they say it’s a duck, nine times out of ten it’s a damn duck!

#9 – Keep you looking good!
You have a better chance of keeping your mans eyes from wandering if you give him something good to look at. If you let yourself go, or don’t care what you look like then you basically are giving him permission to window shop, tempting him to make a purchase.

#8 – Be respectful to him even when he’s not around!
There is nothing more unattractive than a woman who throws herself at different men when her man is not around. Men talk just as much as women. If you don’t respect yourself and don’t make other people, why will your man? Just think he doesn’t want to walk around with community property on his arm.

#7 – Be spontaneous!
Don’t be afraid to try something new or introduce something to your man. Make sure its something your man will like. You don’t want to introduce something like toys if he is not into them. A bad surprise brings an uncomfortable situation later.

#6 – Let him hang with his boys- alone!
Every couple needs breathing room in order to maintain a healthy relationship. While he’s with the fellows catch up with your girlfriends or spend time enjoying you! Give each other a chance to miss each other.

#5 – Have sex whenever, however, wherever!
If your man goes out drinking with his boys would you rather he come home and tap you on your shoulder for some nooky or call the hoe down the street? Play out his fantasies and do it all. Keep your man satisfied because remember what you wont do there are plenty of women who will. Just make sure he knows that it’s the same the other way around as well.

#4 – Let him think you need him, even if you don’t!
Men like to feel needed, let him feel like there are certain responsibilities that you absolutely need him for, even if its something little like changing lite bulbs or opening jars. He might talk smack but trust me on the inside he loves it!

#3 – Let him be the man!
This piggy backs on number 4, but let him fight the battles and let him take charge. I heard it best on T.V. “how can you expect him to be the man if you are?” Give him a chance to lead, that’s his job!

#2 – Stroke his ego!
Tell him he’s great! Let him feel appreciated and loved. Motivate him to do better in life, even if it’s just to go after a promotion as his job. Most men act like they don’t need this, but it helps his confidence. And there is nothing sexier than a confident man, nor is there any type happier.

#1 – Give him head!
Yes I said it! If you don’t know how to watch a flick (Superhead is the best teacher), practice on a banana or ask him what he likes (I’m sure he’ll have no problem guiding you). Just get to it! Learn what excited him, make a game of it, each time you do it see how fast you can either make him nut or pull you off. Oh and don’t be afraid to swallow. He swallows yours when he goes down on you!

Now if you do all these things and he still dogs you out. Move on honey. He is dumb and will realize the error in his ways later. Probably after you found someone to appreciate you.

When is enough enough?

When is enough enough? That question has been on my mind for years, but even more lately. I see women who's status' on Facebook say how they have had it because their man cheated, they found out he was lying or many other jacked up situations. Yet, a few days later all is forgiven and their status reflects how much they love this same dirt bag who could have brought something home.

So I ask when is enough? Is it when he hits you? Can't be that because I've seen several women fight the police for putting the same man who broke their nose in handcuffs. 'No I love him... I just made him mad' they yell. They even go as far as bail him out of jail. But why?

Is it when he comes home with a three month old baby although you all have been together for four years? No that can't be it either cause how many do you know in this situation right now? I can name at least four.

So when is it? When do we as women stand up to the men in our lives? When do we stand up to them like they stand up to us when they say we talk too much? Or when they tell us their going out with friends and stop bitching. When do we begin to put our feelings before them being comfortable?

I SAY NOW!!!! I say it's time to let the men know what we need out of our relationships and stop letting them get a way with the crap we couldn't dare do. Make it painful for him as it is for you or just plain walk the hell away before you get so wrapped up in pleasing him that you forget who you are. If he don't want to take you out, f*** him! Go by yourself. Get dressed up and tell yourself how beautiful you look. It's time to stand up for you!

10 Things Love is NOT

At work the other day I was listening as one of my co-workers opened up about why she has been single and is happy about it. She explained about how she refused to settle and I completely agree. There are so many people that lately compromise their standards and who they are just to say they are in a relationship. They believe that the person they are with loves them and thats why they should stay. I believe that most of those people don't understand the meaning of love. I see so many sites telling you what love is, so I decided to tell you all 10 things love is NOT! Here we go:

10. Love Is Not Miserable
Relationships have there ups and downs. Things will not always 100%. There will be times you will be upset with your significant other, but there should never be a time where someone should make you feel miserable. When you are around the one you love you should feel genuine happiness. You should not be looking at your watch every 10 minutes wondering when your time together will be over.

9. Love Is Not Put Downs
If the one you love never has any compliments for you, then something is wrong. Its one thing to show concern for someone because you love them but its another thing to tear someone apart. If the only thing you are being told is that you are lazy, messy, fat or anything else to that matter IGNORE IT! Maybe it's not you thats not good enough. As my mother has always told me; consider the source.

8. Love Is Not A Secret
If you cannot go public with your relationship, or even do something as simple as post a comment on his/her Facebook page, then there is a HUGE possibility that you are either not the only one or not the main one. Move on honey!

7. Love Is Not A Charity Case
If you go to work every day and every pay day he/she has their hand out without EVER putting anything back into your pockets. Then you are funding their habits/lifestyle. RUN NOW! Cause when hard times come, they will be gone in a blink of an eye.

6. Love Is Not A Game
If everything is a joke and there is no serious conversations, then you may want to consider leaving. Your heart is not a game, don't let anyone play with it.

5. Love Is Not Just Sex
Do you get a phone call every night about 11 p.m., with him/her to come for a few hours and finally leave after you all have sex? Then baby you are a booty call. This is in no way shape or form a relationship. They only are about their gratification.

4. Love Is Not One-Sided
A relationship takes two people. It cannot survive if only one of you is fighting for it. Let them know the situation, but if there is no change, then leave!

3. Love Is Not Jealousy
You should not have to see green when dealing with the one you love. Nor should they give you reasons to be insecure. Someone who loves you will do everything to make you feel comfortable. Letting you know you are the only one for them.

2. Love Is Not Lonely
When you are with someone there should never be any reason you feel alone, especially if you all are in the house together. There should be open conversation. You should be able to talk to the one you are with before you talk to anyone else.

1. Love Is Not Abusive
Someone who loves you will NEVER lay a hand on you to hurt you.If he does get out before things get worse. There are too many cases of domestic violence that end with the death (of usually the abused). Wake up honey and know your worth. Call someone and ask for help, but please get out!

There are plenty of other signs that let you know that you are obviously are being used. Don't settle for less than what you know you are worth, You can do bad all by yourself.
